REINVENT STOCKTON FOUNDATION ANNUAL REPORT

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As the Executive Director of Reinvent Stockton Foundation, I am elated to share some highlights on another year of incredible work and impact in our community and through our flagship programs: Stockton Scholars, Stockton Service Corps, and Mayors for a Guaranteed Income. It is our mission to attract resources to and build hope in Stockton to dismantle generational poverty and transform our community alongside our youth.

RSF started the year with continued investment in youth-serving nonprofit capacity and sustainability. RSF regranted over $2.95 million to Stockton-based youth development organizations and programs. We are proud to work alongside them in their work and build a thriving, aligned youth development ecosystem in Stockton.

In June of ‘24, we celebrated our second graduating class of Stockton Scholars and welcomed an additional 1,800 Scholars into our program; our largest ever incoming class. Since 2018, we have supported over 6,000 Scholars on their journey through higher education and distributed over $4 million in scholarships. We are proud to be the largest single non-university provider of private scholarships in Stockton.

Stockton Service Corps (SSC) continues to play a critical role in supporting and anchoring service in Stockton. During the ‘23-’24 program year, SSC helped onboard over 70 Service Fellows into their year of service in three initiative areas: Cradle to Career, Climate Impact, and Social Justice. Majority of our Service Fellows lived in the communities they served where they acted as mentors, tutors, community organizers, and academic advisors through one of our AmeriCorps program partners.

Finally, it has been another record-breaking year for Mayors for A Guaranteed Income (MGI), growing its coalition of participating cities from 11 to 125 since 2020. Building off this momentum, MGI has launched Counties for a Guaranteed Income of 30 counties across the nation. Most notably, MGI supported over 60 pilots in ‘23-’24 that delivered $250 million in direct, unconditional relief to everyday Americans.

On behalf of Reinvent Stockton Foundation, I welcome each of you to explore our 2023-24 RSF Annual Report and celebrate the progress and impact alongside our team, youth, and community. There is so much more work to be done and we look forward to Stockton’s future with optimism, belief, and resolve.

In Service,
Nik Howard Executive Director
